Who We Are

Rise Consulting was founded by Dr. Tia Waldrop after seeing a critical need for capacity building among community-serving organizations. These organizations are driven by passion and a deep commitment to their communities, but their stakeholders —funders, partners, and the communities they serve — also need to see results. Too often, organizations struggle to balance doing the work with measuring its impact. That’s where we come in.

What We Do

We work alongside these incredible organizations to assess and demonstrate their impact while building the internal capacity needed to sustain and grow their work. Through community-driven research and evaluation, strategic capacity building, grant readiness support, and a focus on continuous learning, we help organizations turn their passion into measurable, lasting change. By making data and strategy more accessible, we ensure that communities are equipped to tell their stories, secure the resources they need, and amplify their impact in the communities they serve.

Meet the Founder

Dr. Tia Waldrop is the founder and Chief Empowerment Officer of Rise Consulting, where she helps community-serving organizations assess and demonstrate their impact, strengthen internal capacity, and develop sustainable funding strategies. With a Ph.D. in Human Sciences and expertise in evaluation, research, and strategic planning, she works alongside organizations to turn data into action. Driven by a commitment to equity, transparency, and community voice, Dr. Waldrop ensures that organizations don’t just measure their impact — they amplify it.
Research and evaluation should do more than collect data — they should amplify community voices and drive real change. We specialize in participatory approaches that ensure those most impacted shape the solutions. From designing evaluation plans to analyzing results, we turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that strengthen organizations and inform decision-making.
Strong organizations don’t just serve communities — they build the skills and strategies to sustain their impact. We provide hands-on training, technical assistance, and strategic support to help teams strengthen leadership, refine internal processes, and make informed, mission-driven decisions.
Sustaining an organization requires more than just winning grants — it takes a strategic, long-term funding approach. We help organizations identify the right opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and build the internal capacity to manage and grow funding successfully.
Growth happens when organizations embrace learning and adaptability. We create feedback loops that help teams measure impact, refine strategies, and use data to inform decisions.
